How do I complete the Tower of Hanoi puzzle? What's the minimum number of moves required?
In this week’s episode of Celebrity Survivor Vanuatu, the Volcano Challenge we had to complete was based on the famous Towers of Hanoi puzzle.

pieces-moves

etc.
Its 2^(#of pieces)-1 so 2 pieces= 2^2-1= 4-1 =3
Basically to solve it you have to move the pieces over in slightly larger stacks
tower of one here, two there, three here four there, etc.
remember if the total is odd the first piece goes in the same row as the last one
