How doi turn off the sound comeing from the ipod nano speaker itself to only listen by usinf earbuds/phones?
I got the newest ipod nano and the sound come from the ipod speaker where i dont need earbuds/phones, how do i turn that feature off so that i can only listen by using the earbuds/phones?
the same thing is happening to me right now! with the earphones plugged in the music can still be heard from the actual ipod device.
we tried to go to the radio function (which requires you to have the earphones in to pick up a signal) and it worked fine, no sound from the device. but when we went back to the music, the sound comes out!
strange? please help!
UPDATE!
so i searched on line and read that most likely there is a problem with the male/female connector and it's probably an internal problem on the female part (the actual device). it said that if i twisted around the plug slowly while it was plugged in and music playing, i'd hear the sound from the external speaker go in and out. sure enough...we did.
so there seems to be a problem in the connection. we're taking it back and exchanging it tomorrow for another and hoping for the best.
hope this is helpful for others...as i couldn't find much info online for this problem.
