What is the difference between a silver and gold plated saxophone mouthpiece?
I'm in the market for a new one and want to make sure I get the one that's brightest for playing more soul than jazz. I've noticed the silver plated ones are cheaper but don't know why.
as keith said, gold is more expensive than silver, that would explain the price.
silver would give you the brighter sound you are looking for. silver gets a brighter sound than gold.
