ps3 warrenty help?
i bought a ps3 from craigslist and it ws new in the box it is a 80gb and i paid 500$ and does the ps3 come with warrenty 1 year free but i dont even know what store he got it from but it was seald in the box cant i give sony my pin number on the ps3 and get the one year manufactur free warenty\
please help
This is a question for Sony, not yahoo. Go to us.playstation.com and look for a support forum, and post the question. Also try calling their support line, the number is on that site. Register your ps3 on the site, too, it couldn't hurt.
One thing to never ever do is open the ps3 case, there is a "warranty seal" that must be broken to open it, and breaking it voids any sony warranties.
I got my ps3 used too, I have always assumed the warranty was untransferrable but now I'm starting to wonder... I may check into it too. Of course, mine is almost a year old by now anyway.
