Ok, so I asked my roommate what was his black car favorite, and he said "Cadillac CTS" or something. then I made a parody and said: "Oh Nigguh please! " and then he got mad / angry against me and called me a racist. Ok, here's the key I never wanted to say the N word, but I just to find his answer a bit too stereotypical. How do I respond?
Even if you were joking, it is harmful to use that word, even derision. You need to apologize, and make sure they know you did not mean and never wanted intentionally hurt their feelings.
