My room mate got EnviroTex Lite in our sink. Can I get it off or am I screwed?

Apparently EnviroTex is an epoxy resin and hardener that is mixed together and then it cures. My room mate tried to 'wash' her utensils in our stainless steel kitchen sink and now there is epoxy, hardened in our sink. I am wondering if it can be removed, scrubbed, whatever (!) or am I going to have to replace the sink? Thanks.

Don't stress out, it's quite possible this can be remedied. It's a good thing that it's a stainless steel sink that you're dealing with. Now, is this epoxy smeared onto the stainless or is there drops of dried epoxy? If it's smeared, believe it or not, you can lightly sand these stainless steel sinks in the direction that the brushed marks from the factory are going. The sanding pressure will depend on how the existing brushed marks appear. If there are little drops of this epoxy on the sink, then I would get a little putty knife & gently scrape the epoxy loose. You'll probably have to do the sanding thing after doing this procedure as well. As a note: the longer you let that epoxy remain on a surface to dry, the harder this epoxy will get. Most epoxies have a 24 to 72 hour cure time & a 7 day harden time. This means that after 7 days, this stuff will be hard as rock...Best of luck to ya !!!
