One speaker working, but changing the position of the cord helps?
Hi I have a question about speakers.
I have a pair of Dell speakers that plug into any regular headphone jack, and I often use them to watch movies on my computer.
Lately one speaker has been not working, and it goes in and out when I change the orientation of the cord near the headphone jack.
I would like to know why this is, and is there anything I can do to help the connection between the cord and the jack to make this experience less frequent?

If the product is still under warrantee, bring it in to have them replace the cord. If not, then its a do-it-yourself project.
The connection inside the plastic / vinyl housing of the cord is frayed and become loose. Generally there is nothing you can do about it, but if you are a do-it-yourself'er you can get the blank plugs from any electronic components shops and with some wire, soldering iron, and solder. easily fix the problem yourself.
But since you didn't think of that solution first, chances are you don't own a soldering iron. You don't even need experience to solder if you can borrow one from a friend. Or just ask them to fix it for you. Or have them teach you how to solder.
Or depending where you live.. if you live in the US, there is a retail chain of stores called, "Radioshack", they have a pretty slim but decent electronic components department. You can ask them how to solder as well as purchase what you need from them, and with their 30 day no questions asked return policy. Use the iron once, then return it.. 
(clean it to new condition before returning it)
