What is a shoggoth?
Should people who treat Yahoo Answers like its some kind of point scoring game and ask for home work "cheats" er "help" without explaining why they cant do their own homework be fed to them?
Would that be cruelty to shoggoths?!
A disgruntled Classicist sometimes wishing a certain "mythos" wasnt fictional!
Special consideration towards Best Answer will be given for style irony and answers that demonstrate a knowledge of a certain fictional mythos.
Hint: two of Charles Stross's recent SF&F novels were partly based on and inspired by this particular mythos.
If you can also name those novels you really rock!
HP Lovecraft comes to mind. And large beings with "mal intent". Certainly quite the mythos behind his works. And, btw, no mythos is fictional, actually, if you have the knowledge of how to get in touch with the beings discussed. Everything is real at one level or another, after all. However, of course, trying to contact negative beings and energies is ALWAYS unwise
