small block chevy , comp cam question?
i have a comp cam 12-602-4 Thumpr Hydraulic Flat Tappet Cam and Lifter Kit
Adv/Dur: 295/313
RPM Range: 2500 to 6500
Intake/Exhaust Lift: .500/.486
what would be a good intake to use with this cam ? im putting cam in a early 70s 350 40 over with eagle kit (385 )stroker with alum heads 210 cc runners 64cc close chambers . 10.5 compression .
would a intake with 3000-7800 rpm range be too much for this cam ?
or should i go with 1500-6500 rpm range ?
Look at manifold companies web sites and pick a manifold with the same power band range as your cam. Look for a carb in the 700-750 CFM range. 385 CID with 6500 RPM will flow 705-752 CFM.
