Why does Australian immigration discriminate against educated English speaking people? ?
I didnt come to this country on a floating door and I am a native English speaker. I also have a masters degree in a skill shortage (town planning) area from an Australian university. I dont qualify for an independent visa and I am on a 457 for 3 more months on contract. Other employers dont wanna do a 457 cause of the risks and all thats left is jobs im over qualified for in country towns. I pay taxes, coach sports and have never committed a crime, not in debt, etc. I feel really let down as i have worked hard in my job for the last 2 years and I got offered a really good job, but after learning about the 457 they have shut the door on me. Im tired of seeing people that cant speak proper English get residency and then go on Centrelink. Anyone work for immigration? There has gotta be a better way.
if your as qualified as you say then and your skill is needed in australia then you should be able to apply for an independent skilled worker visa subclass 175
immigration is mainly restricted to skilled english speaking workers so i don't understand the position you say your in
you will have to apply from outside australia though
