Why judaism worship a wall...?
I mean i understand the cultural and definition... but a wall from a temple in the 2nd century to bang your head over it and pray... to reach closer to god....?
i mean a sinagougue i completly understand but banging a head to the wall.... it it because of shame, is it because, multiple destructions and the wrap of god to the city...
Pleas EXPLAIN?
the wailing wall, is what is left of the temple before it was destroyed by outside forces.
the Orthodox Jew is praying at it, praying that the temple will be rebuilt..and according to prophecy it will, the whole temple.
Once it is rebuilt that is a strong sign Christ is coming back as he will be high priest and worshipping in the temple.
The muslims have the certain door blocked for this not to happen and as a mockery to christians. There are 12 gates to the walls of the old city..this one gate is the only one blocked.
The temple wall, commonly called the wailing wall is for the jews crying for the temple to be restored.
Its a great piece of prophecy, and is recorded in the OT, of Isaiah, a true prophet that foretold of Christ birth, 400 years before he was born.
They are not banging the head against the wall, merely bowing to it in prayer, and having their prayer shall around their shoulders.
This was Solomons temple a great king in the Isreals time of antiquity. He also is in the bible.
History is great in the bible of the nation of Israel and its 12 tribes.
