I don't want to hook up my rear channel speakers on a 5.1 surround system- should I still hook up the center?
I bought a Sony 5.1 for my living room and am now upgrading to a nice 6.1 system. I'm putting the Sony in my bedroom and don't need the rear channel speakers (plus don't want to go through the hassle of hooking these up). Should I still install the center channel speaker or use only the front left and right and use 2.1 stereo?
no point. things are either mixed for stereo or surround.
