What is the best wax/polish for a black clearcoat finish?
I have been using Zaino on my black 300M Special. Is this the best for protection and shine? My car color is Brilliant Black Crystal Pearlcoat Thanks
There's only one answer for this man...Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax. It carries a rather hefty price at 70 bucks a jar, but the paste version is specifically meant for red and black. It's durability isn't stellar, but it really gives black paint that deep, wet look. I use it on my charcoal black pearl Mercedes and it turned it into a mirror. However, if durability is key, I would agree with going Menzerna's FMJ.
Just as a sidenote, be aware that there is a difference between a wax and a polish. A wax is used as a last step product whereas a polish is a mild abrasive used to prep the car's painted surface by removing swirls, holograms, and minor defects.
